I remember back when Mario Party 10 came out and that game had challenges, I thought: "Why can't the Mario Kart games have challenges, too?" I got my wish in this game, although I will admit that most of the challenges are really easy. How old is luigi.

Mario Kart Tour would be on top, which I know is a very unpopular opinion here since everyone else seems to hate it. My list would just be every game in reverse chronological order, although I'd put Double Dash above DS. The former is a copy of the Lightning that appears way too much and is a nightmare unless you're airborne, and the latter is basically the only item that is designed to hurt you. While I hate the Mega Mushroom for being a copy of the Star, I can at least see why it was included in this game due to its popularity in New Super Mario Bros., but nobody asked for the POW Block or Thunder Cloud. While this game introduced the idea of twelve racers on each track, it doesn't work so well in this game due to the lack of item balancing, but Mario Kart 8 improves it. The track selection is good for the most part, as there are only a few stinkers. The bikes feel different from karts due to their ability to wheelie to make up for their lack of Super Mini-Turbos, but standstill mini-turbos render acceleration not so useful. It has a stellar roster of 24 characters, and one of them is Funky Kong, the most popular Mario Kart character to date. While this game ruined drifting, Mario Kart Wii is still a good game.
